“I am very excited to announce the establishment of a Foundation account and the initiation of BCMH Foundation’s first Capital Campaign.” This was the sentiment expressed by Administrator, Ben Vincent, at recent employee and Auxiliary functions while recognizing the diligent efforts of a planning committee dedicated to implementing the Capital Campaign. Mr. Vincent explains, “A Foundation account will provide a mechanism for those wishing to make charitable contributions and bequests to their local hospital.” He noted the importance of a not-for-profit entity having a Foundation in place, adding that contributions made to a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation such as Braxton County Memorial Hospital are tax deductible.
“The support of the community prior to and following the inception of BCMH is well known,” Mr. Vincent stated. “By establishing a Foundation and implementing a Capital Campaign, community members and businesses, Auxiliary members and employees will once again have the opportunity to provide support to their local, independent healthcare facility.”
Mr. Vincent went on to give a brief history of the hospital and identified the need of a new Computerized Tomography (CT) scanner as well as the necessary renovations to accommodate the equipment. A theme ‘BCMH - The hidden jewel in the heart of WV’ will be associated with the Capital Campaign including informational brochures, advertising efforts, solicitation letters, and recognition levels, etc. For more information about this campaign or to make a tax-deductible contribution, contact Kris Lacy at 304-750-2303.
